How we use information
We use information to operate the site, understand readership, improve content, respond to requests and prevent abuse. We do not sell personal information. This site does not take payments or offer visitor accounts.
Who receives it
Cloudflare hosts the site. Google Analytics measures visits and selected clicks. Linked services include greetform for contact, Local Media HQ for newsletter signup, TidyCal for scheduling, YouTube and podcast platforms for media. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them. We may share information when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Cookies and tracking
Google Analytics uses cookies and similar tools to measure pages viewed, browser and device information, approximate location and selected link clicks. It also receives loading, layout stability and interaction-speed measurements. A booking-button click does not tell us that a booking was completed. Our custom events do not send form answers or link query strings. Other measurement or advertising tools may be added; this policy will be updated when practices change.
How long we keep information
Retention depends on the service and purpose. Technical-log and analytics retention follow the relevant provider settings and operational needs. Contact and booking records may be kept while a request or business relationship is active, and afterward when needed for legal or operational reasons. Ask us for the retention details that apply to your information.
Your choices and rights
You can block or delete cookies in your browser and use Google’s Analytics opt-out tool. Unsubscribe from newsletters through the link in each email. To request access, correction or deletion, use our contact form. We aim to respond within 30 days, subject to identity checks and applicable law.
California visitors may have rights to know, access, correct or delete personal information, and to limit certain uses or sharing where applicable. We do not discriminate for exercising applicable rights.
EU and UK visitors may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict information, object to processing, request portability, or complain to a supervisory authority.
